Jonathan Drew reinvented the cigar market by creating cigars that were infused with ingredients from rose petals to St. Johns Wart. I have heard people say they have staved off a cold by smoking an Acid Kuba Kuba. While I cannot confirm his cigars medicinal properties, what is fact is Jonathan has continually created cigars that are of the highest caliber.
Drew Estate ferments and blends their tobacco to perfection and the construction of their cigars is unparalleled. And while all the popularity of their Acid cigars is amazing, it is easy to be type cast in the cigar industry as a “flavor only” cigar maker. Jonathan’s answer to that is the new Chateau Real – a traditional mild to medium bodied cigar. This supposed “flavor only” guy has out-done the traditionalists with his creation of the Chateau Real and has closed the mouth of his critics firmly around his cigar.
Wrapped in an Ecuadorian-grown Connecticut leaf and a harmonious blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers, the Chateau Real is creamy, smooth, and has a core of cedar spice. Jonathan skillfully combines the softness of a mild cigar with the flavors of a medium bodied cigar making Chateau Real the rebirth of mild to medium bodied cigars.
